Terms of Service
Last updated: December 3, 2025
Important: DocRisk is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our AI analysis is for informational purposes only. Using DocRisk does not create an attorney-client relationship. For legal matters, consult a qualified attorney.
By using DocRisk, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What DocRisk Does
DocRisk provides AI-powered document analysis to help you understand potential risks and key terms in contracts and legal documents. Our service identifies notable clauses, summarizes content, and highlights areas that may need attention.
This Is NOT Legal Advice
This is important, so we'll be clear:
- DocRisk analysis is generated by AI, which can make mistakes
- Our analysis does not replace advice from a qualified attorney
- AI may not account for laws specific to your jurisdiction
- AI cannot understand all the context of your specific situation
You are responsible for your own decisions. If a contract is important, get a lawyer to review it.
Your Responsibility
By using DocRisk, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on our analysis
- DocRisk analysis is a starting point for your own research, not a final determination
- Important contracts should always be reviewed by a qualified attorney
- You will not rely on DocRisk as your sole source of legal guidance
Who Can Use DocRisk
You must be at least 18 years old to use DocRisk. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
Your Documents
You own your documents. By uploading a document, you grant us a limited license to process it for the sole purpose of providing analysis. We don't claim ownership of your content.
We do not use your documents for AI training. Your uploaded documents are processed in memory, used only to generate your report, and immediately discarded. We do not retain or use your documents for any other purpose.
You must have the right to upload any documents you submit. Don't upload documents containing illegal content or that you don't have permission to share.
Pricing & Payments
- Single Reports: One-time payment unlocks full access to a specific report
- Credit Packs: Prepaid credits for multiple reports (credits don't expire)
- Subscriptions: Monthly payment with included report allowance (unused reports don't roll over)
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are in USD.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard or by contacting us.
When you cancel, you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Refunds
Because DocRisk is a digital service:
- Single reports: No refunds are provided once a report has been successfully generated and delivered, except where required by mandatory consumer protection law
- Credits & subscriptions: Contact us within 7 days if you haven't used the service
If you experience technical issues preventing access, contact us at [email protected].
By purchasing and accessing digital analysis immediately, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the analysis is delivered, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Don't Do These Things
- Upload illegal, harmful, or malicious content
- Upload documents you don't have the right to share
- Try to reverse-engineer or hack our systems
- Use bots or automated tools without permission
- Share your account or resell access
- Rely on DocRisk as a substitute for professional legal review
- Make final legal or business decisions based solely on DocRisk analysis
- Use DocRisk output as the sole basis for signing or rejecting contracts
You are solely responsible for the legality, confidentiality, and ownership of any content you upload.
Account Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or poses a security or legal risk, with or without notice.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DocRisk from any claims arising from your uploaded content or misuse of the service.
Service Availability
We try to keep DocRisk running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will always be available. We may update, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
Disclaimer
DocRisk is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI analysis. You acknowledge that AI technology has inherent limitations and may produce errors. You use the service entirely at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law:
- We're not liable for damages from using (or being unable to use) DocRisk
- We're not responsible for decisions you make based on AI analysis
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages
- We do not guarantee any particular outcome or result from using our service
- Our maximum liability is limited to what you paid for the specific service at issue
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including third-party service outages, network failures, government actions, or force majeure events.
Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution First: Before initiating any formal dispute proceedings, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will try to resolve the matter within 30 days.
Small Claims Exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction.
Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails and the dispute is not eligible for small claims court, it shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration. For EU users, arbitration shall be conducted under the rules of the Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce. For US users, arbitration shall be conducted under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Consumer Arbitration Rules. Each party shall bear their own arbitration costs and fees.
Class Action Waiver: You agree that disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding against DocRisk.
This section does not limit your right to bring issues to consumer protection agencies or exercise rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via email or notice on the website. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Czech Republic, except where prohibited by local consumer protection laws.
